I ordered this Y fitting to make my own propane extension hose. It worked perfectly with the other propane fittings I ordered. I have an older tank with a quick-connect fitting. I already had an adapter for the quick-connect fitting to the reverse-threaded female fitting, but my gas grill needed the large size fitting shown here. Between the two adapters, I haven't found anything I couldn't connect to the tank.
Additional considerations and costs
Works for my wall mounted propane 'on-demand' water heater. Better than trying to match ,my heater location over the steel inlet pipe and valve. These work well to replace hoses that have the fine-thread POL connectors with wrench flats. They are only for tanks with the outside acme threads.
