Howard says you're the man to know. Alan Did you have the power control in the cab in the float position????? I had 3 new Boss owners this year forget that was a needed item to do Just for the record in the event something should go wrong with the smart hitch switch you can always push up on the headgear manually in an emergency without much effort. Then to remove it just release the levers turn to off and then again push up on the headgear to release the locks and it will slowly fall forward and detach.

Factory Authorized Boss Sales and Service http: Yup, that's how I had to do it. The odd thing is, if I push back on the headgear and hold the switch, it will start and tilt on it's own, but the pump will not run when the headgear is in the down position, and it's not a ground issue. Tried a set of jumper cables to make a ground to rule that out. Almost as if it needs the valve in there to move before it will engage, makes no sense to me at all.
