I met bunch of interesting people and dates there. However, people come and go very easy on dating app. Most likely because they are having many dates lining up, as I did. Tinder was a good idea for quick fix - meeting new people and make new friends.

Some of good people I met on Tinder just came here for traveling. So we met one time, had good time, then they left. It comes to my mind that I want someone to stay with me for a while and not from any dating app. Genuinely dating me because of myself, not from my look on pictures. I had few dates not from dating app and it feels so much different when you attracted in person, not by the app. Yes, I deleted all of my apps today after just 6 months of online dating. I feel like I couldn't be the real me for fear of being unmatched or ghosted.
I tired of trying to being fun and interesting for strange men who most likely are looking for meaningless hookups instead of a true connections.

I tired of getting my hopes up predate and feeling let down postdate. I actually do well being single and unattached, but occasionally long for a connection with a man. I finally realize I am not going to find what I am looking for online, unless I change who I am and settle for strangers who will never find me fun or interesting enough, because the next best thrill is a swipe away. Last night after I posted this thread, someone that I knew from Tinder a while ago texted me to say hi.

He asked me to just come to his place instead. I agreed and we hooked up. Tinder somehow drove me confused. Pre-Tinder, I only had sex with my ex boyfriends. That also took me some time to finally undress myself. This morning when we woke up and he checked his phone in bed, my eyes sneakingly caught his WhatsApp messages with two girls.
Talking about when to meet each other, etc. I mean, I know that every person on Tinder must be talking to more than one person. Tinder is like a venue to meet people, like any other places. I completely understand you. I am in the same exact boat. On to the next ones. I met two girls so far I legitimately liked. Neither of which are romantically available. You hate it, but you like it. You want to quit, but always back.

Felt insecure about how people would choose each other like picking from a catalogue. Even tho I used these apps for months I knew it wasn't for me, my 'tactic' was to talk to one guy at a time until I knew enough about him to then go on dates. Yep, ended up being disappointed that several of them didn't want to continue after all the investment I put into them.
Even as we evaluate each other electronically, having never met, the perception of rejection is powerfully felt. I think we reach dating fatigue because we reject, and are rejected, all too quickly before giving ourselves a chance to really know somebody. Online dating is perceived as being efficient, easy, and fun.
Key word, perceived, because online dating is actually hurting our offline dating lives.
