I had a ground floor room. Bathroom smelt of damp and mold. There's no denying that the rooms were shabby and reminded me more of student digs rather than a hotel but they we Prices you can't beat! In all honesty apart from the staff the whole place was terrible. The room we had was in the basement, it was very cold and despite them providing a heater there wasn't a plug to plug it into which it could reach.
Also, the breakfast room was close to the room, therefore it was very noisy in the morning. The location is superb for the money we paid.
The room needed a good dust of the skirting boards and under the bed, as well as removing some of the marks on the walls and doors. The facilities were good for the budget - hair dryer and tea-making facilities in room. The towels and sheets were also very clean. Radiators not working in my room. No soya milk at breakfast although requested. Fire alarms going all night, caused by showers apparently. Staff walked in on me changing. Absolutely horrified when getting into bed to notice a strange pattern under the bed sheet, lift up the cover to see several patches of dark blood on the mattress.
The room wasn't the cleanest at best, but to have blood on the bed is just so far out from acceptable its unbelievable that the person who cleaned that room left it there. Also to add, the rooms are sold as en-suite, not accurate for room 15, as you only have a shower, your toilet is located on another floor which can be accessed by anyone.
I payed basically the same again and stayed over the road, with a CLEAN double room and amazing bathroom. The hotel will be hearing more if my money isn't returned soon!! Receptionist was friendly considering the situation. Everything broken in the room, hair on the beds, breakfast very limited. Not sure this hotel would pass fire regs, I think an inspector would shut it down. The bathroom was the biggest let down it is extremely small and in a disgusting state of disrepair not to mention heath hazard apart from that we were very happy there.
I hated every minute in this accommodation!!!! So how could they say the room was en-suite?? Someone from trading standards should carry out an impromptu inspection of this place as the photographs on the website are absolute rubbish!! The bed was comfortable!!! Everything it's disgusting and dangerous.
Nothing , this property should be shut down Dirty , rundown , unsafe. If we compare it to a 'normal' hotel, this is not one of those. The room was amazingly small and the toilet was even smaller than the one in the ships. The room for breakfast was small too and not easy to move around when it was full of people. However, the bed was very comfortable. They had heating in the room and the size of the place wasn't that important when you are a tourist and spend the hole day outside.
The hotel was only around 10 minutes walking to the Buckingham Palace, and in the middle of Victoria. Less than 5 minutes walking to both coah and rail stations. Very dirty hotel, bathroom full of mould and smelly, super small room, breakfast too basic. You should take it out of your website, its a joke. Could do with a little attention, looking tatty - but then again such a low price!
Grapevine London | An alternative What's on Guide
Great value for money, in central location - all good for one night. Room was not properly cleaned. There must be a fridge and some biscuits in room. Receptionist behaviour and attitude. Tom Speight at Groucho Club Soho Amidst the exclusivity of the Groucho club and its exuberant interior lay a humble corner stage awaiting the artists for this evenings music event. Sustainable dining in London by Imogen Burgoyne Happily, more and more people are making more conscious decisions when eating out and are choosing eco-friendly and sustainable options.
Nikhil and Alex Hulme review Wimbledon — The Home of Tennis! There was nobody there or reachable taking any responsibility or making decisons. A frienly indian person laid some cables over the main floor and underneath our room door so that we at least had light and power in our room. There was no other room or compensation offered and since it was a busy evening and we are a family of four with two little kids we had to spend the night there, beeing afraid of a fire because of this high class electricity.
The breakfast in the morning was served in a renovated area but having seen all this inedible, because of beeing afraid of where they brought it from or where it was stored in all this dirt and mould. We have travelled the world, been in really undevelopped countries and seen a lot of things , but staying here was probably the worst experience ever.
Check-in and Check-out
And this in a city like London!!! Please do not go there!! You will always find a better place! I hope that some officials will soon visit this place and shut it down because of these unbearable circumstances!
